Recruiter

BrightFunnel is looking for a dynamic Recruiter to help us grow our business, work in tandem with hiring managers, and have a direct impact on revenue.  We are moving into a new HQ, planning to double our headcount by the end of the year, and need someone to lead the charge in getting the next generation of BFFs (BrightFunnel Friends) on board!

Responsibilities:

  • Own the entire recruiting life-cycle: source, interview, qualify and close candidates while maintaining a high-touch exceptional candidate experience
  • Serve as a partner and advisor to both candidates and hiring managers
  • Creatively source, develop and manage a high volume pipeline of both passive and active candidates
  • Research, collect and report on market data and trends
  • Develop a deep understanding of and passion for BrightFunnel’s culture and mission and represent BrightFunnel accordingly to ensure a positive candidate experience
  • Work cohesively with the BrightFunnel team to promote a seamless recruiting and onboarding experience for each candidate
  • Partner effectively with hiring managers across ALL departments (e.g. sales, marketing, engineering, finance, HR, etc.) to understand their needs and provide consulting expertise on best practices in interviewing & selection
  • Conduct phone and in-person interviews for candidates across ALL departments
  • Develop and execute creative and sustainable sourcing & recruiting plans for open positions and key skill sets
  • Manage relationships with key recruiting agencies
  • Establish yourself as trusted partner and point of contact on talent acquisition related matters for the organization  
  • Establish effective recruiting metrics and provide weekly reporting and data analysis
  • Run references of potential candidates and manage offer negotiations
  • Work closely with Head of Finance & Operations to own and execute several broader HR and People Ops initiatives

Requirements:

  • BA/BS from an accredited university – 3.3 minimum GPA required
  • 2-5 years of recruiting technical roles in engineering, product, and customer success required
  • Previous experience scaling a rapidly growing software startup highly desired
  • Analytical mindset; comfortable with metrics based decisions and ad-hoc analysis
  • Organized and agile with impeccable attention to detail
  • Stellar networking, relationship-building, and communication skills
  • Self starter that is motivated daily to achieve success and take initiative
  • Enthusiastic, personable, and team-oriented; technically-savvy a plus
  • Experience as an in-house recruiter with demonstrated longevity in positions (not just short-term contract roles)
  • Must show success making large volumes of hires for a diverse range of roles, both technical and non-technical
  • Experience quickly scaling engineering, product and sales teams in a rapidly growing startup environment strongly desired
  • Experience putting together recruiting metrics, reports and data analysis
  • Strong customer service and consultative skills as well as the ability to influence, with an emphasis on tact, transparency, and diplomacy
  • Ability to eloquently and passionately pitch BrightFunnel to potential candidates
  • Self-motivated and ability to operate with a high sense of urgency while also effectively work well within a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize/organize and work well in an ambiguous environment with ever changing and competing demands  
  • Passion for recruiting with a deep desire to learn fast
  • Superior negotiating and closing skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must
